    הַדְלָקָהf. ( דלק) lighting, kindling. Sabb.23a ה׳ עושה מצוה the kindling (of the Ḥanukhah lights) is the ceremony prescribed, contrad. to הנחה the placing it. Ib. II, 6 (31b). הַדְלָקַת הנר kindling the Sabbath lights. Y.Ter.V, 43c top למשחה לה׳ lmoshḥak (Num. 18:8) means (also) for lighting purposes (cmp. מִישְׁחָא). Num. R. s. 15, beg. על הַדְלָקָתָןוכ׳ concerning feeding them with olive oil.

Ib. 4a, a. e. עקירה וה׳ the lifting up (of a burden on the Sabbath) and the putting down.Kel. VIII, 8 מקום הַנָּחַת העצים the place (in the oven) where the wood is placed. Ib.
